Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is a first-person shooter video game developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is a standalone prequel to the 2014 game, Wolfenstein: The New Order, and features two inter-connected stories, "Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves" and "The Dark Secrets of Helga von Schabbs".

In the first story, players take on the role of series protagonist William "B.J." Blazkowicz as he infiltrates Castle Wolfenstein to find a folder containing the location of General Deathshead's compound. Along the way, he encounters Rudi Jäger, the castle's ruthless commander, and his vicious hounds.

In the second story, Blazkowicz heads to Wulfburg, where he must find and stop Helga von Schabbs, a Nazi archaeologist who is researching ancient artifacts with dark powers.

The game features classic first-person shooter gameplay, including shooting, stealth, and puzzle-solving elements. It also introduces new weapons and enemies, such as the bolt-action rifle and the Panzerhund.
